The Actuarial Buddy Program of our Master's program assigns a current student to an incoming student, so that they can have somebody to ask questions. We start assigning "buddies" to interested newcomers at the moment they accept admission and let us know about their interest in having a buddy.

 

The main objectives of having a buddy are:

• To give new students the chance of having access to knowledge, from current students, about the Msc. program, its details, etc. 

• To give new students the possibility of having someone to ask questions about life in Lisbon and in Portugal.

• To provide new students with the possibility of coming to Lisbon knowing somebody from their Msc. Program who may show them around Lisbon in the first days (and socializing in general).

 

In the Actuarial Club, we know it is our job to help with these issues and we believe this may be a more effective way to help than just directly answering questions via e-mail.
