On ISEG
ISEG, or Instituto Superior de Economia e Gestão (Lisbon School of Economics and Management), is the oldest faculty in Portugal regarding economics and management, and one of the best in Portugal.

It was founded as Instituto Superior de Comércio (Lisbon School of Commerce) in 1911.
Recently, it has obtained EQUIS accreditation, joining the restricted group of triple crown business schools (EQUIS, AACSB and AMBA), a distinction that is awarded to less than 1% of business schools worldwide.

The Francisco Pereira de Moura library has an excellent book collection. However, further bibliography is not usually required, as the materials given by the Professors are enough, so it is used mainly to gain deeper insights onto a specific topic.

The library’s main purpose is to provide spaces for studying across its three floors. There is a special study room on the first floor reserved exclusively for master’s and postgraduate students. To access it, a card is required, which must be requested through the following link.

The library is open on weekdays from 9:30 to 20:00, and the master’s room from 9:30 to 23:00. On Saturday, the library is open from 9:30 to 17:00. Apart from the library, on the ground floor of that building, there is a big room called “Aquário” (as it is known informally, the translation to english is aquarium) that is open 24-7. It is used by students who want to work in a less strict environment.

ISEG has a very dynamical ambience. It is normal for bachelor’s students to join associations that focus on consulting, finance, mathematics, etc… Among master's students, is not as common. But it is an option for people who want to develop their knowledge in a given area as well as meeting new people.

To finish this section, we would like to point out that the career services of ISEG are useful in order to explore possible job opportunities and to get guidance.
